Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling for clients in specialty finance and alternative asset management
  • Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, and pitch book preparation
  • Develop and maintain client relationships within the Financial Institutions Group
  • Prepare marketing materials, teasers, and confidential information memorandums (CIMs) for deal origination
  • Collaborate with senior bankers on capital markets advisory, debt financing, and equity offerings
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities in alternative assets
  • Support regulatory compliance and risk assessment in transaction structuring
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing initiatives
  • Participate in client meetings, roadshows, and negotiations to drive deal closure
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in specialty finance and alternative investments to provide strategic insights

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, financial services, or related advisory roles
  • Strong understanding of financial institutions, specialty finance, and alternative asset management sectors
  • Proven track record in executing M&A transactions, capital raising, and financial modeling
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial statement analysis and valuation techniques
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or willingness to obtain them
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a bulge-bracket investment bank or boutique advisory firm focused on financial institutions
  • Prior involvement in deals involving specialty finance lenders, asset managers, or alternative investment vehicles

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Dodd-Frank, Basel III, and SEC reporting requirements
