About the Role

J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking division in Frankfurt is seeking talented Analysts and Associates to join our Germany Coverage team. This role focuses on providing strategic advisory services to leading corporate clients across key industries in the German market, including automotive, chemicals, industrials, and financial institutions. As a core part of our European franchise, you will work on high-profile transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, and corporate finance solutions, leveraging J.P. Morgan's global platform to deliver innovative and tailored advice. The position offers exposure to complex deals and direct interaction with C-suite executives, contributing to the firm's leadership in the DACH region. In this role, you will support the execution of live mandates by building detailed financial models, performing due diligence, and preparing compelling client deliverables. You will collaborate closely with senior team members, sector experts, and product specialists to identify opportunities, structure transactions, and navigate regulatory landscapes like those governed by BaFin and the ECB. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients in Germany across various industries
  • Conduct financial analysis, valuation, and modeling to support advisory services
  • Participate in the origination and execution of M&A, capital raising, and restructuring transactions
  • Prepare pitch books, presentations, and marketing materials for client meetings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sector specialists and product groups
  • Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities in the German market
  • Support senior bankers in client interactions, due diligence, and deal negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards in all activities
  • Contribute to business development initiatives to expand JP Morgan's coverage in Germany

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, financial services, or a related area for Analyst level; 3-5 years for Associate level
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly in the German and European contexts
  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)
  • Authorization to work in Germany and ability to obtain necessary regulatory approvals
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or related field
  • Prior experience in coverage banking or industry-specific roles within Germany
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II and BaFin requirements
  • Experience with cross-border transactions in the DACH region
