Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support M&A transactions, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses
  • Prepare pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), and presentation materials for client meetings and deal proposals
  • Assist in due diligence processes, coordinating with legal, accounting, and operational teams to identify risks and opportunities
  • Research industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to provide strategic insights for clients
  • Support senior bankers in client interactions, negotiations, and deal execution from origination to closing
  • Monitor deal pipelines and contribute to business development efforts within the M&A group
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across J.P. Morgan's global network to deliver integrated advisory services
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management protocols in all M&A activities
  • Contribute to post-merger integration planning and value realization assessments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, or financial advisory services
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and M&A transaction processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to handle complex financial data
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or full-time experience at a bulge-bracket investment bank
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or a related discipline
  • Experience in the Midwest market or industries such as healthcare, industrials, or consumer products
  • Series 7 and/or Series 63 licenses
