Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to support M&A advisory for strategic investors, including valuation and scenario planning
  • Assist in preparing pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), and presentation materials for client meetings
  • Perform due diligence on target companies, including market research, competitive analysis, and risk assessment
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to execute deal processes from origination to closing
  • Support senior bankers in client interactions, negotiations, and relationship management with strategic investors
  • Monitor market trends and developments in M&A activity to provide strategic insights to clients
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential opportunities in the strategic investor space
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal JP Morgan Chase policies throughout transactions
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing on M&A best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or strategic transactions within a bulge bracket bank or boutique firm
  • Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions processes, including due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring
  • Proven track record of supporting senior bankers in executing complex M&A transactions for strategic investors
  • Excellent proficiency in financial modeling, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or willingness to obtain them

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a top-tier investment bank like JP Morgan Chase or equivalent
  • Knowledge of strategic investor dynamics, such as corporate venture capital or sovereign wealth funds
  • Fluency in additional languages, particularly those relevant to international M&A deals
  • Advanced certifications such as CFA Level II or higher
