Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling for mid-cap clients, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company valuations
  • Assist in preparing pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), and presentation materials for M&A and capital raising deals
  • Support senior bankers in managing client relationships and executing transactions in the mid-cap space
  • Perform market research and due diligence on potential acquisition targets or investment opportunities
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and industry coverage groups at J.P. Morgan
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to provide strategic advisory to mid-cap companies
  • Contribute to deal sourcing and origination efforts through networking and sector expertise
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal J.P. Morgan policies during transaction processes
  • Mentor junior analysts and participate in team development initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier institution preferred, but not required for this associate level
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, financial advisory, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital markets
  • Proven track record in executing mid-cap M&A transactions or advisory mandates
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the mid-cap sector, particularly in industries like technology, healthcare, or consumer goods
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or willingness to obtain them
  • Prior internship or full-time role at a bulge bracket or boutique investment bank
  • Fluency in financial software such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ
  • Demonstrated leadership in team-based projects or deals
