Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of M&A transactions in the power and renewables sectors, from pitch to close
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in energy utilities, independent power producers, and renewable developers
  • Conduct financial analysis, including valuation, accretion/dilution modeling, and scenario analysis for deals
  • Prepare pitch books, teasers, and marketing materials tailored to energy sector opportunities
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and sector specialists, to ensure seamless deal execution
  • Mentor and manage associates and analysts, providing guidance on deal processes and industry insights
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes in power and renewables
  • Contribute to business development efforts, identifying new opportunities in the evolving energy transition
  • Support senior bankers in client presentations and negotiations to drive transaction success
  • Ensure all activities comply with JPMorgan Chase's risk management and ethical standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or related roles within the energy sector
  • Proven track record in executing M&A transactions in power generation, renewables, or energy infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring in the energy markets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with senior executives and clients
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or equivalent FINRA registrations required
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and deal execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work at a bulge-bracket investment bank or leading energy-focused advisory firm
