Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling for power and renewables clients, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company valuations
  • Support the execution of M&A transactions, debt and equity financings, and strategic advisory mandates in the energy sector
  • Prepare pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), and presentation materials for senior management and clients
  • Perform market research on emerging trends in renewables, such as solar, wind, and battery storage technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and industry specialists, to deliver comprehensive advisory services
  • Assist in client interactions, including due diligence processes and negotiation support
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments impacting power and renewables investments
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential opportunities in sustainable energy financing
  • Ensure all deliverables meet JP Morgan's high standards of accuracy and professionalism

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, preferably within the power, renewables, or natural resources sector
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital markets
  • Proven track record in executing M&A transactions, capital raises, and advisory services
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial databases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or willingness to obtain them

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the power and renewables industry, including knowledge of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and sustainable finance
  • Prior internship or full-time role at a bulge-bracket investment bank
  • Fluency in additional languages, particularly those relevant to international energy projects
  • Advanced certifications such as CFA Level I or II
