Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of M&A transactions in the power and renewables sectors, from pitch to close
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in utilities, renewable energy developers, and private equity firms
  • Conduct financial analysis, valuation modeling, and scenario planning for deal opportunities
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and sector specialists, to ensure seamless deal processes
  • Prepare pitch books, teasers, and marketing materials tailored to power and renewables clients
  • Advise on market trends, regulatory changes, and strategic opportunities in the energy transition
  • Mentor and manage junior bankers, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Participate in business development efforts to expand JP Morgan's market share in renewables M&A
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies
  • Contribute to thought leadership through industry reports and client seminars on sustainable energy financing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on M&A transactions in the power and renewables sectors
  • Proven track record of executing complex M&A deals, including due diligence, valuation, and negotiation
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory environments, and renewable energy technologies
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial databases
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses or equivalent required
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and deal execution
