Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies for private equity, venture capital, and alternative investment funds
  • Conduct financial analysis, including modeling cash flows, LBOs, and DCF valuations for client portfolios
  • Advise clients on capital structure optimization and private debt solutions
  • Prepare pitch books, teasers, and marketing materials for investor outreach
  • Collaborate with senior bankers to structure deals and negotiate terms with institutional investors
  • Perform due diligence on potential investments and market research on private capital trends
  • Support origination efforts by identifying and pitching to high-net-worth individuals and family offices
  • Monitor portfolio performance and provide ongoing advisory services to fund managers
  • Ensure compliance with JP Morgan Chase's risk management and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to team initiatives in the San Francisco office, fostering client relationships in the tech and innovation sectors

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred, with 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking or private equity
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital markets
  • Proven track record in deal execution within private capital advisory or fundraising
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial databases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses or willingness to obtain them

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in private capital solutions, including direct lending, mezzanine financing, or equity fundraising
  • Prior internship or role at a bulge-bracket investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in private markets and ESG investing
  • Fluency in additional languages, particularly for cross-border deals
  • CFA Level I or II certification
