Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute M&A transactions for clients in the UK and Ireland, from pitch to close, including due diligence and negotiations
• Develop and maintain senior-level client relationships, identifying opportunities for JP Morgan's advisory services
• Build comprehensive financial models, perform valuations, and prepare pitch books tailored to UK/Ireland market conditions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and sector specialists within JP Morgan Chase
• Mentor and supervise junior bankers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and team development
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes in UK&I financial services
• Contribute to business development efforts, such as sector-specific events and thought leadership in M&A
• Manage risk assessment and ensure all deals comply with JP Morgan's internal policies and external regulations
• Support in preparing internal reports and presentations for senior management on deal pipelines and performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on M&A transactions in the UK and Ireland markets
• Proven track record of executing complex M&A deals, including buy-side and sell-side advisory
• Strong understanding of UK and Irish regulatory environments, including FCA and competition law implications
• Excellent command of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and deal structuring
• Ability to manage client relationships at C-suite level in industries such as financial services, energy, or technology
• Fluency in English; additional languages relevant to UK/Ireland markets (e.g., Irish Gaelic) a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a bulge-bracket investment bank like JP Morgan Chase or equivalent
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or equivalent certification
• Prior leadership role in M&A teams, with experience mentoring Associates and Analysts
• Knowledge of cross-border M&A involving EU/UK post-Brexit dynamics
• Advanced proficiency in financial software tools used in JP Morgan's deal execution processes
