Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications on AWS infrastructure for JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and compliance officers to deliver innovative solutions in capital markets or investment banking
  • Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence
  • Optimize application performance and scalability using AWS services to handle high-volume financial transactions
  • Implement security best practices and ensure adherence to financial regulations like GDPR and SOX in all software deliverables
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance trading, analytics, or client-facing applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical banking systems
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, including migration strategies to cloud-native technologies
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovations to improve efficiency in JP Morgan's tech stack

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience with Java, including leading development teams
  • Proven expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications
  • Experience in financial services or fintech environments, with knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., SEC, FINRA)
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical best practices

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
