Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications on AWS infrastructure to support JP Morgan Chase's financial products
  • Collaborate with agile teams to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions for market-leading banking services
  • Implement and maintain microservices that handle high-volume financial transactions with low latency
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security best practices in all code deployments
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to maintain high-quality standards
  • Optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency while supporting scalable growth in trading and risk management systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real-time for critical financial applications
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing on Java and cloud technologies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java
  • Proven experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
  • Experience in designing secure and scalable applications for financial systems
  • Knowledge of financial services regulations such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX compliance
