Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive financial planning and personalized advice to individuals and families, focusing on wealth accumulation, preservation, and transfer
  • Develop and implement investment strategies tailored to clients' goals, risk tolerance, and life stages
  • Prospect, acquire, and retain high-value clients through branch networking, referrals, and community engagement in Brownsville and McAllen
  • Conduct financial needs assessments and deliver holistic solutions including retirement planning, estate planning, and tax strategies
  • Collaborate with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management teams to offer access to premium banking, lending, and investment products
  • Ensure all advisory activities comply with J.P. Morgan's ethical standards, FINRA, and SEC regulations
  • Monitor client portfolios and provide ongoing performance reviews and adjustments
  • Educate clients on market trends, economic factors, and J.P. Morgan's proprietary tools and research
  • Build long-term relationships by delivering exceptional service and addressing client concerns promptly
  • Participate in local business development initiatives to grow the Private Client Advisor practice

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Active and valid Series 7 and Series 66 (or equivalent) securities licenses
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or client-facing roles
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships in a retail banking or investment environment
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, investment strategies, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work in a branch-based setting in Brownsville or McAllen, TX
  • Clean background check and compliance with FINRA and SEC regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
