Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive financial needs assessments, including retirement planning, estate strategies, and risk management
  • Recommend and implement tailored investment portfolios using J.P. Morgan's suite of products, such as mutual funds, ETFs, and alternative investments
  • Collaborate with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management teams, including specialists in lending and philanthropy, to deliver holistic solutions
  • Ensure all advisory activities comply with regulatory standards, including FINRA, SEC, and internal J.P. Morgan policies
  • Prospect for new clients through community networking, referrals, and branch events in the Detroit market
  • Monitor client portfolios and market conditions to adjust strategies and communicate updates effectively
  • Educate clients on J.P. Morgan's digital tools and resources for self-directed wealth management
  • Contribute to branch goals by supporting team efforts in client acquisition and retention

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Active and valid Series 7 and Series 66 (or 63 and 65) securities licenses
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or client advisory roles
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships in a retail banking or advisory environment
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, investment strategies, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work in Detroit, MI, and surrounding areas, including travel as needed
  • Clean background check and compliance with FINRA and SEC regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families in the Midwest region
