Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized financial planning and investment advice to high-net-worth individuals and families in the Menlo Park and surrounding areas
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with private clients, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management services
  • Conduct comprehensive financial needs assessments, including retirement planning, estate strategies, and tax optimization
  • Collaborate with branch teams, including bankers and investment specialists, to deliver holistic wealth solutions
  • Prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, and community involvement in the Palo Alto region
  • Ensure all advisory activities comply with SEC, FINRA, and internal J.P. Morgan policies
  • Monitor client portfolios and market conditions to recommend timely adjustments and risk management strategies
  • Educate clients on J.P. Morgan's suite of products, including alternative investments and private banking services
  • Participate in branch events and client seminars to promote wealth management expertise
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and financial plans using proprietary J.P. Morgan tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Active and valid Series 7 and Series 66 (or 63 and 65) securities licenses
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial advisory, wealth management, or client-facing roles
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships in a high-net-worth environment
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, investment strategies, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work independently in a branch-based setting while collaborating with team members
  • Residency or willingness to relocate to Menlo Park, CA, and surrounding areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications such as CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
  • Experience working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families in the Silicon Valley region
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin or another language common in the Bay Area

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree in finance or economics
