Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and development of a low-latency wholesale core banking application to support real-time liquidity management
• Define and drive the strategic technical vision for liquidity systems, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's global banking objectives
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Oversee the implementation of high-performance components, optimizing for ultra-low latency in transaction processing
• Ensure system resilience, security, and compliance with financial regulations such as PSD2 and Basel III
• Mentor and guide junior architects and developers, fostering best practices in low-latency design
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance core banking capabilities
• Conduct performance tuning and risk assessments for liquidity-critical applications
• Partner with global teams to align architecture with JP Morgan's broader technology ecosystem

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years focused on low-latency systems in financial services
• Proven track record leading architecture for core banking or wholesale banking applications
• Deep expertise in designing high-performance, scalable systems for liquidity management and real-time transaction processing
• Experience with regulatory compliance in financial services, including knowledge of UK/EU banking standards
• Strong leadership experience in guiding cross-functional teams in agile environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with JP Morgan Chase's technology stack or similar enterprise financial platforms
• Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or low-latency programming
• Prior work on wholesale core banking systems handling high-volume liquidity operations
• Familiarity with fintech innovations in real-time payments and settlement systems
