Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable architecture solutions for software applications using modern cloud technologies like AWS or Azure
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives in financial services
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of emerging technologies to enhance platform efficiency and security
  • Define and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across projects
  • Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance on risk mitigation for high-stakes financial applications
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust technical architectures
  • Mentor junior architects and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's architecture practices
  • Ensure solutions comply with JP Morgan Chase's security policies and industry regulations such as GDPR and SOX
  • Prototype and validate architectural designs through proof-of-concepts in cloud environments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 3 years in cloud-based technologies
  • Proven track record in designing scalable solutions for financial services applications
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in banking, including data security and privacy standards
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
