Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures on GCP to support JP Morgan Chase's financial services operations
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on GCP environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and compliance officers to integrate security best practices into cloud adoption
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and automation scripts for GCP resources
• Monitor and respond to security incidents in public cloud infrastructures, minimizing risks to financial data
• Provide expert guidance on GCP security features to enable secure innovation in trading, risk management, and customer banking platforms
• Perform regular audits and penetration testing on cloud workloads to identify and mitigate potential threats
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of JP Morgan's cloud security strategy
• Stay abreast of emerging cloud security threats and technologies, recommending enhancements for the firm's global operations
• Ensure seamless integration of GCP security with JP Morgan's enterprise security tools and frameworks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven track record in implementing security controls for public cloud environments in a regulated industry like financial services
• Deep knowledge of GCP security services including Cloud IAM, VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Center
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX relevant to financial institutions
• Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP, or CISM
• Strong understanding of risk management and threat modeling in cloud architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a large-scale financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Advanced certifications in GCP or AWS cloud security
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises and public cloud systems
• Prior involvement in cloud migration projects for sensitive financial data
• Knowledge of machine learning-based security tools for anomaly detection in cloud workloads

Required Skills

• Expertise in GCP security tools like Cloud Armor, Forseti, and Binary Authorization
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
• Strong knowledge of encryption, key management, and data protection in cloud environments
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Chronicle for cloud log analysis
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in financial applications
• Skills in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, or Go
• Familiarity with network security concepts including firewalls, VPNs, and zero-trust models
• Ability to perform threat modeling and risk assessments for cloud-native applications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for complex security challenges
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders in a fast-paced financial setting
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance in banking, including Basel III and MiFID II
• Experience with container security using Kubernetes and Docker in GCP
• Proficiency in monitoring tools like Stackdriver for real-time security insights
• Adaptability to evolving cloud threats and technologies in the fintech space
