Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the credit risk assessment process for institutional and corporate clients, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's risk appetite

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client portfolios to identify potential risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, legal, and compliance to structure credit facilities
  • Monitor ongoing credit exposures and recommend mitigation strategies for high-risk accounts
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on credit policies and emerging market risks
  • Mentor and develop junior team members in credit risk best practices
  • Ensure compliance with internal JP Morgan policies and external regulatory standards
  • Contribute to the enhancement of risk management frameworks and reporting tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in credit risk management within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in assessing and managing credit risk for institutional and corporate clients
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in Australia, including APRA guidelines
  • Experience with credit analysis tools and financial modeling software
  • Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent in risk management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Finance or Risk Management
  • Prior experience working at a major global bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of syndicated lending and structured finance products
  • Familiarity with ESG factors in credit risk assessment
