Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive cybersecurity architectures that integrate with JP Morgan Chase's core banking platforms and trading systems
• Lead the evaluation, integration, and deployment of critical security updates across multi-technology environments, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing financial applications, aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and business teams to embed security into the development lifecycle of capital markets and payment processing systems
• Oversee the architecture of secure cloud migrations for JP Morgan's global infrastructure, focusing on data protection in high-stakes financial transactions
• Develop and maintain security blueprints for emerging technologies like AI-driven analytics and blockchain in banking services
• Mentor junior architects and provide technical leadership in cybersecurity strategy for the firm's risk management framework
• Monitor and respond to evolving cyber threats specific to the financial sector, such as ransomware and insider threats
• Ensure compliance with JP Morgan Chase's internal security policies and external regulations through architectural reviews and audits
• Drive innovation in cybersecurity solutions to protect sensitive client data and maintain trust in financial services

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior role within the financial services industry
• Proven track record of implementing cybersecurity solutions in complex, regulated environments such as banking and capital markets
• Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks including GDPR, SOX, PCI-DSS, and FFIEC guidelines applicable to financial institutions
• Experience with cloud security architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments in large-scale financial enterprises
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP required
• Strong understanding of threat modeling, risk assessment, and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) in financial systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
• Advanced certifications such as GIAC Security Architecture or AWS Certified Security - Specialty
• Familiarity with blockchain security and cryptocurrency risk management in banking
• Prior leadership in cross-functional teams for cybersecurity initiatives in global financial operations

• Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK
• Proficiency in secure architecture design using tools like TOGAF or SABSA
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM) systems like Okta or SailPoint
• Skills in encryption technologies and data protection for financial data at rest and in transit
• Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) for threat detection in banking environments
• Cloud security expertise including IAM, VPCs, and compliance in AWS/Azure/GCP
• Programming/scripting abilities in Python, Java, or PowerShell for automation of security controls
• Risk assessment and vulnerability management using tools like Nessus or Qualys
• Leadership and communication skills for stakeholder engagement in regulated industries
• Analytical problem-solving for complex cyber threats in financial systems
• Project management skills with Agile/Scrum methodologies for security implementations
• Knowledge of endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions like CrowdStrike
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices integrated into CI/CD pipelines
