Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of JP Morgan Chase's design system to ensure consistency across digital banking platforms
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative, user-centered design solutions for financial products
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions in the context of secure financial transactions
  • Create and document design guidelines, components, and patterns that adhere to industry regulations like GDPR and PCI-DSS
  • Mentor and guide a team of designers, fostering a culture of innovation within the UX Design group
  • Prototype and iterate on design systems using tools like Figma and Adobe XD to support rapid development cycles
  • Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to refine design systems for enhanced user experience in mobile and web applications
  • Partner with global teams in London and other locations to align design systems with Chase's international financial services strategy
  • Stay abreast of emerging design trends and technologies to drive forward-thinking solutions in fintech

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years focused on design systems in a tech or financial environment
  • Proven track record of leading design system initiatives in large-scale organizations
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design solutions for digital products in financial services
  • Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration in global teams
  • Proficiency in design tools and ability to mentor junior designers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Design or related field
  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with regulatory compliance in design
