Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments to support JP Morgan Chase's global financial operations
• Collaborate with agile development teams to integrate infrastructure engineering with application delivery, ensuring seamless scalability for trading and banking platforms
• Lead the implementation of automation and orchestration tools to optimize infrastructure provisioning and reduce operational risks in high-volume transaction processing
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for critical systems, focusing on low-latency requirements in financial markets
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security standards, performing regular audits and vulnerability assessments
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the infrastructure team
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in real-time, minimizing downtime for 24/7 financial services
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend integrations that enhance reliability and efficiency in JP Morgan's ecosystem
• Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct simulations to safeguard against disruptions in global payment and asset management systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on financial services or large-scale enterprise environments
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions in agile development teams
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with hands-on experience in hybrid cloud architectures
• Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet for infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Knowledge of security best practices, including compliance with regulations like SOX, GDPR, and PCI-DSS in the financial sector
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers in high-stakes, mission-critical projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a major financial institution, ideally with exposure to trading systems or risk management infrastructure
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCIE, or equivalent in infrastructure engineering
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
• Background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines tailored to financial applications
