Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise HSM infrastructure to support global payments applications at JPMorgan Chase
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, security experts, and compliance officers to ensure secure payment processing
  • Oversee the configuration, monitoring, and optimization of HSMs to meet high-availability and performance requirements in a 24/7 financial environment
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement cryptographic solutions to protect sensitive payment data in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Manage vendor relationships for HSM hardware and software, including procurement, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Develop and maintain documentation for HSM deployments, including disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions on HSM best practices within the JPMorgan Chase technology team
  • Monitor emerging threats to payment security and recommend proactive infrastructure enhancements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on security hardware and enterprise deployments
  • Proven experience leading teams in deploying and managing Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) in a financial services environment
  • Strong knowledge of cryptographic protocols, key management, and compliance standards such as PCI-DSS and FIPS 140-2
  • Experience with enterprise payment systems and global financial applications
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data
