Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise HSM infrastructure supporting global payments applications at JPMorgan Chase
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure integration of HSMs with payment processing systems
• Oversee the management of cryptographic keys, encryption protocols, and compliance with regulatory standards like PCI-DSS and FIPS
• Drive innovation in HSM scalability and performance optimization for high-throughput financial transactions
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices for secure infrastructure engineering
• Conduct risk assessments and implement security enhancements to protect sensitive payment data
• Coordinate with vendors for HSM hardware procurement, upgrades, and support
• Monitor HSM performance metrics and troubleshoot issues in real-time to minimize downtime
• Develop documentation and processes for HSM lifecycle management in a global enterprise setting
• Stay abreast of emerging threats in financial cybersecurity and recommend proactive measures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on security hardware
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams for enterprise-level deployments
• Deep knowledge of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and their integration in payment systems
• Experience with global payment applications and compliance standards like PCI-DSS
• Strong understanding of cryptographic protocols and secure key management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated financial services environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific HSM certifications (e.g., Thales or Utimaco)
• Experience with cloud-based HSM deployments in hybrid environments
• Prior work at a major financial institution handling high-volume transaction processing
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in infrastructure management
• Master's degree in a relevant technical field
