Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy critical infrastructure solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments to support JP Morgan's global financial operations
• Collaborate with agile teams to integrate infrastructure engineering with application development, ensuring seamless scalability for trading platforms and risk management systems
• Lead the implementation of automation and orchestration tools to optimize infrastructure performance and reduce operational costs in a high-stakes financial setting
• Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of infrastructure components to maintain 99.99% uptime for mission-critical banking services
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies, mitigating risks in data handling for client transactions and analytics
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Infrastructure Engineering team
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend infrastructure upgrades to enhance efficiency in areas like algorithmic trading and fraud detection
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to safeguard JP Morgan's assets against disruptions
• Document infrastructure architectures and processes to support knowledge sharing across global teams in Mumbai and beyond

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on financial services or large-scale enterprise environments
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions in agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with hands-on experience in hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet for infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards relevant to the financial industry, including PCI-DSS and GDPR
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Cisco CCIE
• Experience in high-frequency trading systems or real-time data processing in banking
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab
• Prior work at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Master's degree in a technical discipline
