Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure solutions to ensure seamless connectivity across JP Morgan Chase's global financial platforms
• Collaborate with agile teams to integrate network connectivity with application development, focusing on low-latency and high-availability systems
• Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats in the financial sector
• Optimize network performance for critical trading and transaction processing environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, minimizing downtime in 24/7 operations
• Develop and document infrastructure standards compliant with JP Morgan's engineering best practices and industry regulations
• Mentor junior engineers and lead initiatives to adopt innovative connectivity technologies
• Monitor network health using advanced tools and provide proactive recommendations for improvements
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity for financial services

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on network connectivity
• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable network solutions in a financial services environment
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and financial industry-specific regulations
• Experience working in agile methodologies and cross-functional teams
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent in network security
• Experience with cloud networking platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in a hybrid environment
• Prior work in high-frequency trading or real-time financial transaction systems
• Knowledge of blockchain or emerging fintech connectivity technologies

Required Skills

• Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
• Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, or Arista networking equipment
• Knowledge of SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and automation tools like Ansible or Terraform
• Experience with firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex infrastructure challenges
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders in finance
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nagios, or SolarWinds
• Understanding of cloud interconnectivity (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute)
• Agile and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines
• Risk management and compliance knowledge in financial services
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for network automation
• Leadership abilities to guide technical teams
• Adaptability to fast-paced, high-stakes environments
