Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of network infrastructure solutions supporting JP Morgan Chase's global financial operations
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver resilient, high-availability network architectures that ensure uninterrupted trading and transaction processing
• Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats in the financial sector
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in network engineering within the Infrastructure Engineering category
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex network issues across data centers, cloud environments, and edge locations in Singapore and globally
• Integrate emerging technologies such as SDN and automation to enhance network performance for real-time financial applications
• Ensure compliance with Singapore's regulatory requirements and JP Morgan's internal governance standards
• Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations and disaster recovery plans
• Participate in on-call rotations to support 24/7 operational needs of critical banking systems
• Contribute to strategic planning for network scalability to support JP Morgan's growth in Asia-Pacific markets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable network solutions in a financial services environment
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and MAS guidelines relevant to banking in Singapore
• Experience working in agile methodologies and cross-functional teams
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent in networking
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's) in a relevant technical field
• Experience with cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP, particularly in hybrid financial infrastructures
• Prior leadership in global network projects for multinational banks
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001 applied to network engineering
• Familiarity with automation tools for network orchestration in high-stakes trading environments

Required Skills

• Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies
• Proficiency in network security tools like firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing in enterprise environments
• Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Familiarity with cloud networking services (e.g., VPC, Direct Connect)
• Analytical problem-solving for high-pressure financial system outages
• Leadership and team collaboration in multicultural, agile settings
• Communication skills for stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams
• Understanding of financial protocols like FIX for trading networks
• Project management abilities using tools like Jira or Confluence
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Splunk
