Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Java Spring Boot applications integrated with AWS infrastructure to support JP Morgan's global financial platforms
  • Implement SRE best practices to ensure 99.99% uptime for critical trading and banking systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable cloud solutions that handle high-volume financial transactions
  • Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch
  • Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis to improve system reliability in a 24/7 financial environment
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security standards in all engineering practices
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews for maintaining high-quality deliverables
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for client-facing services
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to drive innovation in JP Morgan's infrastructure ecosystem

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Java and Spring Boot
  • Proven expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and ECS
  • Strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
  • Experience in building and maintaining scalable, high-availability systems in a financial services environment
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, or Kubernetes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated industry
