Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for GCP environments to ensure secure adoption of public cloud technologies across JP Morgan Chase's financial operations
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans on GCP infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks in banking applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and compliance officers to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for financial services
• Develop and enforce policies for identity management, encryption, and network security in GCP to protect sensitive customer data and transactions
• Monitor and respond to security incidents in cloud environments, leveraging tools like GCP Security Command Center and integrating with JP Morgan's SIEM systems
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new GCP security features, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements for the financial industry
• Provide expert guidance on secure cloud migration strategies for legacy banking systems to GCP
• Mentor and train team members on best practices for cloud security in a high-stakes financial context
• Contribute to the creation of security architecture diagrams and documentation for GCP-based financial platforms

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven track record in implementing security controls for public cloud environments in a regulated industry like financial services
• Deep knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and NIST, tailored to financial sector requirements
• Strong understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and risk management in cloud architectures
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances or certifications relevant to banking security

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or CISSP
• Experience working in a large-scale financial institution with hybrid cloud deployments
• Familiarity with JP Morgan Chase's internal security tools and DevSecOps pipelines
• Prior leadership experience mentoring junior engineers in cloud security practices

Required Skills

• Expertise in GCP security tools (e.g., IAM, VPC, Cloud Armor)
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation
• Knowledge of container security with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager)
• Strong understanding of encryption standards (e.g., TLS, AES) for financial data protection
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Stackdriver and Splunk
• Skills in threat detection and incident response methodologies
• Ability to perform code reviews for security vulnerabilities
