Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of application security strategies for Google Cloud Platform environments, ensuring robust protection of JP Morgan's financial applications
• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing on AI-driven applications, identifying vulnerabilities in models and pipelines
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AppSec best practices into the SDLC, focusing on GCP-native security controls
• Develop and maintain security policies for AI workloads, mitigating risks like adversarial attacks and data exfiltration in banking systems
• Monitor and respond to security incidents involving cloud and AI components, providing forensic analysis and remediation plans
• Drive innovation in AppSec tooling, leveraging Google Cloud Security Command Center and other GCP services for proactive threat detection
• Mentor junior security engineers and foster a culture of security awareness within cross-functional teams at JP Morgan Chase
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations by embedding security controls in AI and cloud deployments
• Partner with product owners to secure new AI features for client-facing banking applications on GCP
• Contribute to firm-wide security initiatives, sharing insights on emerging threats in cloud and AI for the financial sector

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in application security engineering, with a focus on cloud environments
• Proven expertise in securing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like GKE, Cloud Run, and App Engine
• Strong understanding of AI/ML security principles, including model vulnerabilities, data poisoning, and secure AI deployment
• Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices in a financial services context
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX relevant to banking
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and pass background checks for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications like CISSP, CISM, or Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer
• Experience in AI security tools such as TensorFlow Privacy or Adversarial Robustness Toolbox
• Prior work in a large-scale financial institution, dealing with high-stakes security threats
• Knowledge of threat modeling for AI applications in fintech, including bias detection and ethical AI
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a related discipline

Required Skills

• Expertise in GCP security services (e.g., IAM, VPC, Cloud Armor)
• Proficiency in AI/ML security frameworks and tools
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices in languages like Python, Java, and Go
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, OWASP ZAP)
• Understanding of encryption, key management, and secrets handling in cloud environments
• Skills in threat modeling and risk assessment for financial applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Build)
• Ability to analyze and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools

• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Leadership and mentoring abilities in team settings
• Knowledge of financial industry regulations and compliance
