Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement cybersecurity solutions using Python and GCP to protect JP Morgan Chase's financial systems
• Collaborate with agile teams to integrate security measures into cloud-based applications and infrastructure
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on GCP environments to identify and mitigate risks
• Automate security processes and monitoring using Python scripts to enhance threat detection in real-time
• Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations and internal security policies across all projects
• Lead incident response efforts and perform root cause analysis for security breaches
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of security engineering practices
• Monitor emerging threats and recommend proactive defenses tailored to banking operations
• Integrate security tools with GCP services like Cloud Armor and Security Command Center
• Document security architectures and provide technical guidance to stakeholders in the financial domain

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with a focus on cloud environments
• Proficiency in Python programming for developing security tools and automation scripts
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including security configurations
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, and risk assessment in financial services
• Experience working in agile methodologies and cross-functional teams
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer
