Key Responsibilities

• Lead resiliency design reviews for medium to large-sized products, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's risk and compliance standards
• Break down complex technical problems into actionable components and guide cross-functional teams in resolution
• Act as a technical lead, mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of reliability and innovation in Chase's software ecosystem
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support high-volume financial transactions
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and develop preventive measures to maintain 99.99% uptime
• Drive adoption of SRE best practices, including error budgets, SLOs, and SLIs in a financial services context
• Monitor and optimize system performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all engineering decisions
• Contribute to the evolution of Chase's technology stack, integrating emerging technologies securely

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or site reliability engineering roles
• Proven track record in leading technical teams and conducting resiliency design reviews in financial services environments
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS or Azure, with experience in high-availability systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and monitoring solutions in a regulated industry
• Knowledge of financial regulations such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX compliance
• Ability to break down complex technical problems and mentor junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working at a large-scale financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Professional SRE
• Background in agile methodologies and DevOps practices in fintech
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or Go for building resilient applications
