You will spearhead the implementation of SRE practices tailored to the demands of the financial industry, such as defining service level objectives (SLOs) for ultra-low latency trading platforms and conducting rigorous capacity planning to handle peak market volatility. In this role, you will troubleshoot complex issues in real-time, lead incident response for 24/7 operations, and drive continuous improvements to reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR). By leveraging tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and advanced monitoring stacks, you will ensure our systems comply with stringent regulations like those from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and global standards, safeguarding client assets and trust. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain resilient infrastructure for electronic trading services to ensure 99.99% uptime
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reduce latency in high-volume trading environments
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
• Lead on-call rotations and incident response for global trading platforms, minimizing downtime impact on clients
• Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible to support agile trading operations
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for electronic trading systems handling billions in daily volume
• Drive SRE best practices, including SLO/SLI definitions tailored to financial services reliability needs
• Partner with compliance teams to ensure infrastructure adheres to global financial regulations
• Mentor team members on reliability engineering principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Contribute to innovation in trading infrastructure, such as integrating AI for predictive maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or DevOps roles within financial services
• Proven track record in building and maintaining high-availability trading systems
• Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or GCP, with a focus on scalability in electronic trading environments
• Strong understanding of financial regulations such as MiFID II and SEC requirements for low-latency systems
• Experience with incident management and post-mortem analysis in 24/7 operational settings
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global team environment in Singapore

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical discipline
• Experience with electronic trading platforms like FIX protocol or proprietary trading systems at a major bank
• Certification in SRE practices (e.g., Google SRE) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Prior leadership role mentoring junior engineers in reliability engineering
• Familiarity with Singapore's MAS regulatory framework for financial technology

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java for automation and scripting
• Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration for scalable deployments
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration
• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic
• Understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and low-latency optimizations
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Skills in database management, including SQL and NoSQL for trading data
• Incident management and root cause analysis techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
