Key Responsibilities

• Lead resiliency design reviews for medium to large-sized products, ensuring robust architecture in line with JP Morgan's risk management standards
• Break down complex technical problems into actionable components, guiding cross-functional teams to resolution
• Act as a technical lead, mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of reliability in software delivery
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to define and maintain service level objectives (SLOs) for financial applications
• Implement and optimize monitoring, alerting, and automation strategies to minimize downtime in trading and banking platforms
• Drive incident response and post-mortem analyses to enhance system reliability and prevent recurrence
• Advocate for best practices in infrastructure as code and DevOps within JP Morgan's global technology ecosystem
• Contribute to the evolution of SRE practices tailored to the financial services industry's unique demands, such as low-latency and high-security requirements
• Partner with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or site reliability engineering roles
• Proven track record in leading technical teams on medium to large-scale projects in financial services or high-stakes environments
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on resiliency and scalability
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, including error budgets, SLIs/SLOs, and incident management
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to decompose complex systems into manageable components

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Professional SRE
• Background in leading resiliency design reviews for mission-critical applications
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk in a banking context
• Prior work at a large-scale financial institution handling high-volume transaction systems

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go for automation and tooling
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
