Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of resiliency patterns for the Kinexys Blockchain platform on AWS, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance
• Tackle complex technical issues related to blockchain scalability, security, and performance in a financial services context
• Drive technical initiatives to optimize cloud infrastructure, including automation of deployments and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with engineering teams to promote SRE best practices, such as error budgets and service level objectives (SLOs)
• Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and develop proactive mitigation strategies
• Mentor junior engineers on reliability engineering principles and blockchain-specific challenges
• Ensure compliance with financial industry standards, including data privacy and audit requirements
• Monitor and enhance system observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain 24/7 platform reliability for global financial operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or software engineering roles
• Proven experience in designing and implementing resilient cloud architectures on AWS
• Strong background in blockchain technologies and distributed ledger systems
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in high-stakes financial environments
• Deep knowledge of observability tools, monitoring, and incident response in production systems
• Familiarity with financial services regulations and compliance standards such as GDPR and SOX

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JP Morgan's Kinexys Cloud Platform or similar blockchain initiatives
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional) and blockchain (e.g., Certified Blockchain Developer)
• Prior work in fintech or banking sectors, handling mission-critical transaction systems
• Master's degree in a technical discipline or MBA with a focus on technology management

Required Skills

• Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS)
• Proficiency in blockchain frameworks like Hyperledger or Ethereum
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Skills in monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with security practices in financial systems (encryption, IAM)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-team collaboration
• Agile methodologies and DevOps culture
• Incident management and post-mortem analysis
• Data structures, algorithms, and system design for distributed systems
• Compliance knowledge in fintech (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001)
