Key Responsibilities

• Lead resiliency design reviews for Pega-based applications, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance in cloud environments
• Act as a technical lead for medium to large-sized products, guiding development teams on best practices for reliability and scalability
• Break down complex problems into actionable components, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
• Design and optimize cloud infrastructure to support Pega deployments, focusing on performance in financial transaction processing
• Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and develop proactive measures to prevent recurrence
• Mentor junior engineers on SRE principles, Pega integration, and cloud-native technologies
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives in the financial services domain
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation strategies to maintain system reliability
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security standards for all engineered systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including chaos engineering and resiliency testing for Pega applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on site reliability engineering (SRE) practices
• Proven experience leading technical teams in designing and implementing resilient systems in cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of Pega platform, including Infinity architecture and deployment in financial services applications
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform
• Demonstrated ability to conduct resiliency design reviews and mitigate risks in high-stakes financial systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of breaking down complex technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with regulatory compliance (e.g., FINRA, SEC)
• Certification in Pega (e.g., Pega Certified Senior System Architect) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Prior leadership role in SRE for large-scale, mission-critical applications
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions such as Prometheus or Splunk
