Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of agentic AI systems to automate complex financial workflows, such as portfolio optimization and compliance monitoring
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers in implementing machine learning models tailored to JP Morgan's financial services needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and compliance experts to integrate AI solutions into core banking platforms
• Ensure AI models adhere to regulatory standards like GDPR and SEC guidelines, focusing on ethical AI practices in finance
• Optimize and scale ML pipelines for high-volume transaction data processing in real-time trading environments
• Conduct code reviews, prototype new agentic AI features, and drive innovation in predictive analytics for market risks
• Monitor and troubleshoot production AI systems, implementing robust error-handling for mission-critical financial applications
• Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and assess their applicability to JP Morgan's global financial operations
• Contribute to the firm's AI strategy by presenting technical roadmaps to senior leadership

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on AI and machine learning
• Proven leadership experience in guiding engineering teams on complex AI projects
• Strong understanding of agentic AI systems, including autonomous agents and reinforcement learning
• Experience in financial services or fintech environments, handling sensitive data and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ for developing scalable ML models
• Demonstrated ability to deploy ML models in production environments using cloud platforms like AWS or Azure

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) and agentic frameworks like LangChain or AutoGPT
• Prior work in risk management, fraud detection, or algorithmic trading within banking
• Certifications in AWS Certified Machine Learning or Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer
• Publications or contributions to open-source AI projects
