Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions using Python to drive innovation in JP Morgan Chase's financial services platforms
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers in best practices for scalable AI systems on Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business stakeholders, to translate financial requirements into robust ML models
• Implement and optimize machine learning pipelines for applications in areas like predictive analytics, customer personalization, and market risk assessment
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in financial AI deployments, focusing on model explainability and bias mitigation
• Architect cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services to enhance performance and scalability of AI-driven financial tools
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement in software engineering processes
• Stay abreast of emerging AI/ML trends and integrate them into JP Morgan Chase's technology roadmap for competitive advantage
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to deliver high-impact solutions within budget and deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in AI/ML development
• Proficiency in Python programming, including experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services like SageMaker, EC2, and S3
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding engineering teams on complex projects
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries, with knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards such as GDPR and SOX

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science
• Experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark or Hadoop in a financial context
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Prior work on AI/ML applications in risk management, fraud detection, or algorithmic trading
