Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services to support JP Morgan's financial platforms
• Execute complex technical troubleshooting for high-impact issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime for trading and banking systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and compliance officers to deliver innovative solutions beyond routine requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and security in financial applications
• Optimize application performance and scalability using AWS infrastructure to handle high-volume transactions in global markets
• Integrate security best practices and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive financial data
• Contribute to agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to drive continuous improvement in software delivery
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend integrations that enhance JP Morgan's competitive edge in fintech
• Document technical designs and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with internal audit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java and Spring Framework
• Proven expertise in AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
• Strong experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure software solutions in a financial services environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical troubleshooting and resolve complex issues in production systems
• Experience with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines in a large-scale enterprise setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working on financial applications, such as trading platforms or risk management systems at JP Morgan Chase
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or Java (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional)
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards like GDPR, SOX, or PCI-DSS in banking

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security)
• Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation)
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Oracle, or NoSQL (DynamoDB)
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Skills in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
• Understanding of secure coding practices and encryption for financial data
