Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native solutions using AWS and Terraform to support critical financial data workflows
• Lead the implementation of infrastructure as code practices to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant systems for JP Morgan Chase's global operations
• Collaborate with agile teams to integrate data pipelines that process high-volume transaction data in real-time
• Optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency while maintaining high availability for mission-critical banking applications
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in software development within the financial services sector
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in data-intensive environments, ensuring minimal downtime for client-facing services
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and regulatory changes to enhance data security and compliance in financial tech solutions
• Contribute to the architecture of microservices-based systems that handle sensitive financial information
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to continuously improve team delivery in a fast-paced agile setting

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on cloud infrastructure and data solutions
• Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS for building scalable financial applications
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) in multi-environment deployments
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including ETL processes and data pipelines in a financial context
• Experience working in agile methodologies within cross-functional teams in a regulated industry like finance
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and comply with financial regulatory standards such as SOX and GDPR
