Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of critical software solutions across multiple technical domains in an agile team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and compliance experts, to deliver innovative financial tech solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to JP Morgan's engineering standards and security protocols
• Architect scalable systems that handle high-frequency trading data and real-time analytics for global markets
• Integrate emerging technologies like AI and blockchain to enhance risk assessment and fraud detection capabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for mission-critical banking applications
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Ensure all solutions comply with financial regulations and JP Morgan's internal governance frameworks
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to drive team efficiency and innovation in fintech projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on full-stack development
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams in agile environments within the financial services sector
• Strong understanding of financial systems, including compliance with regulations like GDPR and SOX
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, secure software solutions for high-volume transaction processing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Certifications in Java, Python, or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Developer)
• Background in developing applications for capital markets or risk management
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks for financial data analysis

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for backend development
• Expertise in front-end technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling for financial datasets
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Confluence
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including encryption and secure coding practices
• Skills in cloud computing (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and optimize algorithms for performance
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in high-stakes environments
• Strong communication and leadership abilities for team collaboration
• Knowledge of financial protocols like FIX for trading systems
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
