Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of blockchain-based solutions for digital asset management within JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, compliance experts, and other engineers to integrate blockchain technologies into core banking systems
• Architect scalable Java-based microservices that support secure, real-time transaction processing for digital assets
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment for blockchain initiatives
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to security protocols, and mitigate risks associated with decentralized systems
• Research and evaluate emerging blockchain trends and technologies to inform strategic decisions at JP Morgan Chase
• Develop and maintain APIs for interoperability between traditional financial systems and blockchain networks
• Participate in agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and deliver high-impact features on time
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance issues in production environments handling high-volume financial transactions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development
• Strong proficiency in Java and experience with building scalable, high-performance applications
• Deep knowledge of blockchain technologies, including distributed ledger systems and smart contracts
• Experience in financial services, particularly with digital assets, cryptocurrencies, or tokenization
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects in a regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ethereum or other blockchain platforms and related tools like Solidity or Web3
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in finance, such as KYC/AML standards for digital assets
• Background in developing secure systems for handling sensitive financial data and transactions
