Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based database solutions to support JP Morgan Chase's global financial operations
• Lead agile teams in developing and maintaining high-availability database systems for trading, risk management, and customer data platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure database architectures align with regulatory requirements and business objectives
• Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting in multi-cloud environments to minimize downtime in 24/7 financial services
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices for cloud DBA, including security protocols and data encryption
• Drive innovation in database technologies, such as integrating AI/ML for predictive analytics in investment banking

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on database administration and cloud technologies
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale relational and NoSQL databases in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams within the financial services sector
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
• Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in high-stakes, regulated environments like banking and finance
• U.S. work authorization required; ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications
