Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based DevOps solutions to support JP Morgan's financial platforms
• Collaborate with agile teams to implement CI/CD pipelines that ensure rapid, secure releases of trading and banking applications
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency in handling high-volume financial transactions
• Mentor and guide software engineers on best practices for automation, monitoring, and incident response in a 24/7 global environment
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by integrating security and audit controls into DevOps workflows
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical financial services
• Drive innovation by evaluating and adopting new cloud technologies to enhance operational efficiency at JP Morgan Chase
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to technical documentation for maintainable, high-quality deliverables
• Partner with stakeholders across risk, compliance, and business units to align tech solutions with strategic goals
• Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to support resilient infrastructure for global markets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
• Proven track record in leading agile teams and delivering scalable solutions in a financial services environment
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with hands-on experience in deployment and management
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure as code (IaC) in high-stakes, regulated industries
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards relevant to financial services (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR)
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate across cross-functional teams in a global organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a large financial institution like JP Morgan Chase, handling mission-critical applications
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or equivalent
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments
• Background in developing solutions for trading systems, risk management, or payment processing
• Master's degree or MBA with a technical focus

Required Skills

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services like EC2, S3, Lambda
• Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Understanding of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
• Familiarity with security practices (IAM, encryption, vulnerability scanning)
