Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop core architecture for wholesale credit risk platforms, ensuring scalability and compliance with regulatory standards
• Lead full-stack development efforts, including front-end UI/UX and back-end services for risk modeling and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk analysts, data scientists, and compliance officers, to define technical requirements
• Implement and optimize microservices-based architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in software delivery
• Integrate real-time data feeds and analytics for wholesale credit decisioning systems
• Ensure system security, data privacy, and adherence to JP Morgan's internal controls and Basel III regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical financial operations
• Contribute to innovation initiatives, such as AI-driven risk prediction models for wholesale portfolios

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with a focus on core architecture in financial systems
• Proven track record in developing scalable, high-performance applications in a regulated environment like banking
• Strong understanding of credit risk management systems and wholesale lending processes
• Experience with agile methodologies and leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Finance-related field
• Prior experience at a major financial institution, ideally with exposure to JP Morgan Chase's technology stack
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or financial risk modeling
• Background in integrating AI/ML for risk assessment in wholesale credit domains

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development
• Expertise in front-end technologies like React.js or Angular
• Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling for financial datasets
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for scalable deployments
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)
• Understanding of financial regulations (e.g., Dodd-Frank, CCAR) and risk management frameworks
• Skills in agile project management and tools like Jira or Confluence
• Analytical problem-solving and debugging in high-stakes environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for stakeholder engagement
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) for processing large-scale credit data
• Experience with security protocols (OAuth, encryption) in financial applications
• Ability to lead technical discussions and present solutions to non-technical audiences
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and performance optimization
