Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of automation solutions using Python and AWS to streamline processes for JPMorgan Securities Europe
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure, scalable DevOps pipelines that support high-volume financial transactions
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in cloud infrastructure management and code deployment
• Integrate AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency and predictive analytics in trading and risk management systems
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations by implementing robust security measures and audit trails in all automated processes
• Optimize AWS resources for cost-efficiency while maintaining high availability and performance for mission-critical applications
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve production incidents in a fast-paced environment
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap for technology adoption, focusing on innovation in fintech solutions
• Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks in real-time financial operations
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through documentation, knowledge sharing, and process refinement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on DevOps practices
• Proficiency in Python programming for automation and scripting in financial environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and ECS for secure deployments
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding engineering teams on scalable infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of security best practices in financial services, including compliance with regulations like GDPR and SOX
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in AI/ML integration for process automation in banking applications
• Prior work in the financial services industry, particularly with securities or trading systems
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Python Institute certifications
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments
