Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy fullstack applications using Java, Python/R, and AWS PaaS to support critical financial services platforms
• Lead agile teams in delivering innovative tech solutions across multiple technical domains, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and compliance experts to build secure, scalable systems
• Implement and optimize data pipelines and analytics models using Python/R for financial risk assessment and reporting
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices in software development within a regulated environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for trading and banking applications
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance platform capabilities in areas like payments and asset management
• Contribute to architectural decisions, focusing on cloud-native solutions to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure all solutions adhere to JP Morgan Chase's security standards and financial industry regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with fullstack development
• Strong proficiency in Java for backend development and Python or R for data processing and analytics
• Hands-on experience with AWS PaaS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, and API Gateway
• Proven track record in agile methodologies and leading technical teams in financial services environments
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices and compliance with financial regulations like SOX and GDPR
• Experience in building scalable, high-availability applications for mission-critical financial systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with machine learning frameworks using Python/R in financial modeling
• Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Prior work at a major financial institution with exposure to trading or risk management systems
