Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and deploying Python-based applications on AWS infrastructure
• Drive technical architecture decisions to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient solutions for financial services platforms
• Mentor and coach team members on best practices in Python development and AWS cloud optimization
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and compliance teams to align engineering efforts with business goals in risk management and trading systems
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery of high-quality code in a regulated environment
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure adherence to JP Morgan's engineering standards
• Innovate on cloud-native solutions to enhance performance and reduce costs in financial workflows
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate them into team projects to support JP Morgan's digital transformation
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team
• Ensure all developments comply with financial industry regulations and internal security policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience building scalable applications
• Hands-on expertise in AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and ECS
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in delivering financial technology solutions
• Deep understanding of financial services regulations, such as GDPR, SOX, and PCI-DSS compliance
• Experience with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines in a high-stakes environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in developing trading platforms or risk management systems in banking
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Python Institute certifications
• Prior leadership in fintech projects involving machine learning or big data analytics
