Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of critical software solutions across multiple technical domains within an agile team at JP Morgan Chase
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives in the financial services sector
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Drive code reviews, testing strategies, and deployment processes to maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable applications
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, optimizing performance for high-volume financial transactions
• Integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities, such as AI/ML for risk assessment or blockchain for secure transactions
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security standards in all development activities
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and agile ceremonies to deliver value iteratively
• Contribute to architectural decisions that support JP Morgan Chase's global infrastructure
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to minimize downtime in mission-critical banking environments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role
• Proven experience in developing and deploying scalable applications in financial services or high-stakes environments
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical decisions
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in a regulated industry
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with banking or trading systems
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards like GDPR, SOX, or PCI-DSS
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or Scala in building enterprise-level applications
• Certification in relevant technologies such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Oracle Java certifications
• Prior experience leading teams in global, distributed environments

Required Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C++
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling for financial data
