Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of core components for JP Morgan's next-generation trading platform using Java and AWS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, quants, and compliance to define technical requirements
  • Implement scalable, resilient microservices to handle high-volume financial transactions
  • Optimize system performance for low-latency trading in global markets
  • Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices in financial software development

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming with experience in building scalable applications
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
  • Proven track record in developing high-performance trading or financial systems
  • Experience with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines in a financial services environment
  • Deep understanding of software design patterns and microservices architecture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experience with real-time data processing and low-latency systems in trading platforms
  • Familiarity with financial regulations such as MiFID II or Dodd-Frank
